ABOUT
In 2014, I packed my belongings into a few small shipping containers and left the East Coast to pursue a new career in the Caribbean. Unfortunately, my girlfriend was neither ready nor able to leave her amazing job back home.
After a year apart (long distance relationship) we are finally reunited and beginning our life together in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
We both studied abroad in college (me in South America, her in Europe), but since then we have not scheduled any major trips because of grad school, family, jobs, and our other responsibilities back home. We agree that now is the best time for us to take the leap, book some flights and make it happen.
So, we decided to start a blog…not so much to tell you about us and the beautiful places that we go – in typical lesbian fashion we have a shared Instagram account for that...
…instead, this blog is a space for queer women, like us, to share travel tips and stories. My good friends back home write many of the blog posts and we’ve opened our community to hear from other queer and trans globetrotters around the world.
We want to create a space to document our journeys and to start a conversation that helps inspire more queer women to travel.
Welcome to Queer Travel Society.
